This tool seemed to be very similar to Between, as both adjust grids within an edit area to be within the forecasters desired maximum and minimum limits. The team preferred the interface for Limit Values. |

This tool is similar to Limit Values but is unique in that it can create values or ranges of values which were not originally in the grid. |

Allows user to copy model data into grid edit area as opposed to the entire grid. Has been very useful in manipulating the TCM wind grid in tropical situations. |

Analysis scheme that allows one to populate a grid based on a distribution of point values. There was concern that the Serp interpolation scheme does not consider factors that affect the radius of influence other than elevation (such as land use). It was also noted the Serp interpolation scheme assumes the point values are accurate which may or may not be an advantage [other analysis schemes, (e.g. Optimal Interpolation, Barnes) do not necessarily match point values]. However, the team felt that the Serp tool represents the state of the art in IFPS analysis schemes. |

The tool relies on an RH-SKY relationship, which is likely not the best approach, but provides more intuitive results than other Smart Tools, is well documented, and simple to install. |

Forecasters should be cautioned that if the diurnal temperature curve from persistence is not a good forecast, you probably should not use this tool in that instance. |
